1. Who we are
S & M Pallets Limited (company number 10387277) operates this website at sandmpallets.com. We are a pallet supplier and buyer based in Baglan, Port Talbot, Wales.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for personal information collected through this site.
If you have any questions about how we use your data, please contact us at info@sandmpallets.com.
2. What information we collect
When you use the enquiry form on this site, we collect:
- Your name
- Your company name (optional)
- Your phone number (optional)
- Your email address
- Details of your enquiry — what you need, quantities, any notes
We do not collect payment details, sensitive personal data, or any information beyond what you choose to tell us in the form.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry — to contact you by email or phone, provide a quote, or arrange a collection. We will not use your details for unsolicited marketing, and we will not sell or share your information with third parties for their own purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data under the lawful basis of legitimate interests — specifically, managing the business enquiry you have initiated with us. Where you contact us about an ongoing supply arrangement, we also rely on legitimate interests to maintain that business relationship.
5. How long we keep your information
We retain enquiry details for up to two years from the date of your last contact with us, after which they are deleted. If an enquiry leads to an ongoing business relationship, we may keep relevant contact details for as long as that relationship continues, plus a reasonable period afterwards.
6. Third parties
FormSubmit — Our enquiry form is relayed to our inbox via FormSubmit.co, a third-party form processing service. FormSubmit handles your submission in order to forward it to us and does not retain it for their own purposes. Their privacy policy is available at formsubmit.co.
Google Fonts — This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. This is a technical request to Google's servers for font files; it does not involve sending any personal data about you to Google.
WhatsApp — If you choose to contact us via the WhatsApp buttons on this site, you will be transferred to WhatsApp (owned by Meta). Any communication through WhatsApp is subject to Meta's own privacy policy. We do not control how Meta handles your data.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties unless required to do so by law.
7. Cookies and browser storage
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
When you acknowledge the privacy notice that appears at the bottom of the page, we store a small item in your browser's local storage to remember your preference. This item contains no personal data and remains on your device only. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
If we add analytics tools in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked for your consent before any tracking begins.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data (the "right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances
- Object — object to our processing where we rely on legitimate interests
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@sandmpallets.com. We will respond within one month.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — the UK's data protection regulator.
- Website: ico.org.uk
- Phone: 0303 123 1113
We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns directly before you contact the ICO, so please do get in touch with us first.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in the law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. We encourage you to check back periodically.
